iPod Ear-Bud Shocks

Yes, you read it right. Your ipod headsets might give you a shock!

If you take this as a joke then read on.

Apple warns ipod users about a dangerous intersection between the electricity and your ipod ear-buds. However, they also said that this could also happen with other ear-buds too.

This is a very similar condition like when you drag your feet on a carpet at home and receive a shock when you touch a door handle.

However, in this case, the charge builds up on your ipod as it has the earbuds connected to it. And it discharges through the ipod ear-buds instead of discharging through the when you touch the handle of a door.

But, there is no need to worry about it. Apple suggests how to deal with this new problem.

Because the static electricity runs in dry environments, one can use a ‘humidifier’ to prevent this.

Another solution suggest by Apple is ‘Anti-Static Hand Lotion’.

And also do not rub the iPod on things that may cause the static electricity build up.

So, have a safe music enjoyment.

Good bye for now.
