Apple has patented some of its applications through the United States Patent and Trademark Department.The patent was filed for the application ‘Multi-dimensional scroll wheel’ filed in the last year. This application has a scroll wheel like that is used in the ‘classic’ and ‘nano’ versions. It senses the user input in many ways. The patent of this application cites featuring a multi-touch ‘click wheel’ in as notebook computer, any peripheral input device or any input device (wireless) that is able to communicate directly using a media player or with a docking station.

The other patented application is ‘Methods and systems to mix media with communications’ is used for sharing media files like music, videos and photos through data communications connection with no disconnections.

Also Apple makes many references to the media sharing while the users are into video conferences – this is not possible in the iPhone. The video calling application has been a common target of speculation.
